a new york minute

Sometimes, when it's been a while, I forget how much I love New York. Margaret and I just spent two brief but busy days exploring the city and it was so terrific to be back. We were able to visit the studios of Elizabeth Huey and Austin Thomas (more on that plus an exciting announcement coming soon!) as well as stop by the Guggenheim, MoMA and  Gering & Lopez Gallery to see Elena del Riviero and DC artist Linn Meyers' show Rhapsody. I've shared a few pictures from the trip below, more to be posted soon.

James Turrell installation at the Guggenheim.

Linn Meyers moved in to Gering Lopez for 8 days to complete this incredible site-specific wall drawing.
Spanish artist, Elena del Rivero uses the written word, sewing, and mending as tools for drawing in her works also on view at Gering Lopez.
The frozen s'more from the Dominique Ansel Bakery (pictured above) was amazing, but we agreed that the Kouign Amann stole the show.
Great to see this suite of three etchings by Dan Walsh at the MoMA!!
Brooklyn, you are beautiful. Even in the rain :)
